FOR THE BODY SPORT - FOR THE SPIRIT HOPE
GoodSports began operating in 1994 and offered Slovak children to play an amazing American game - baseball. This little start has grown into the GoodSports Center, where children and teenagers are provided with afterschool and summer activities, including baseball, and much more.
Slovakia, as well as other post-communist countries, is undergoing radical changes. For parents raising their children in a world quite different to the one in which they grew up, it can often be confusing.
The programs offered try to create positive Christian values, regardless of whether a person is a believer or not, everyone is welcome. The leaders who share the faith in Jesus Christ try to follow the words of St. Francis "Always preach good news and use words if necessary."
Practical values created by leaders center around the word “respect”. Leaders try to teach children to respect themselves, others and the environment through all the activities in which they are involved.

BEGINNINGS
GoodSports began operating in 1994 and offered Slovak children to play an amazing American game – baseball. This little start has grown into the GoodSports Center.
ACHIEVEMENTS
In 2017 we were able to open another clubhouse in Prievidza and that way impact more than 25 kids every week.
BASEBALL CAMP
More than 150 children at our camp will experience non-traditional sports, foreign coaches and will get a chance to practice their English.
CHILDREN AND YOUTH
We help children develop in their natural talents. In sports, language, as well as in communication and socialization skills.
Respect is demonstrated through:
- learning that winning is about giving our best effort, not the score
- learning to be truthful and loving in all relationships
- learning to care for the playing field, club room, camp site

It focuses on creating leisure activities for children and youth.
